Just thought I’d send a quick message to see how everyone on KemTem UK is doing at the moment.
How is your path/life going?
Any UPGs, quotes, festivals, research, good books on the go or shiny Kemetic purchases?
Hey. To be utterly honest, utterly nothing at the moment. Too many mundane things to be getting on with at the moment. Next festival date will be at the end of the month which I should mark in some way as that one I like to. Other than my daily call to Ra in the morning and the occasional hello to the deity statues around me they aren’t getting a look-in. 
They are already familiar with this so not a big one and know what I’m doing isn’t sitting on the sofa watching TV.

I’ve been able to spend time with my deities this week. I’ve been leaving offerings at my shrine and chatting during the day.
Work has been a struggle this week, so my little morning and evening prayers have helped to being some positivity. I managed to push through work yesterday and I’m hoping that today will be another good day.

I could not work out how to add a pic from my phone. So here’s the same post, without pic. I mounted a frame today, I did a big diamond painting of Anubis with a lion at his feet before Xmas and it now has pride of place in my front room. So that’s made me happy for this Weekend.

There is an upload (7th from the left) in the text tool bar. It then uploads and inserts a text link into the article which you can move around.

Cool painting! 
I’ve been experimenting with watercolour pencils this afternoon, but it wasn’t long before one of my kids wanted to get involved haha. I didn’t get very far!
I’m thinking about painting hieroglyphics to bring some Heka into my work space. Want to combine art and magic… But I’m struggling with inspiration these days. Still, it’s fun to try and think of ideas or experiment until an idea stands out.

It’s been mostly quiet, just dealing with mental health stuff. However, I’ve had two Anubis dreams this week (odd for me). In the first He was holding my hand, trying to get me through a crowd of loud and boisterous people.
The second, which I had two nights ago, involved Him telling me about someone getting sick. He said stocking up on cold and flu supplies would be a good idea. When I woke up, I couldn’t remember the name He had said so couldn’t pass the message on. Today I have been laid up with horrible sickness and have to get my third COVID test. I still can’t remember what name Anubis used but I know it wasn’t Senneferet.

Sorry to hear about the mental health stuff and your sickness. I hope your Covid test comes back negative. Look after yourself. It sounds like Anubis is!

@Senneferet I sent up a prayer for you this morning.
I gave offerings to the deities I’ve been in contact with recently: Djehuty, Seshat, Sekhmet, Bast and Khonsu. That pretty much covers medicine, healing, protection, mental health, wisdom and knowledge!
I said I think it sounds like you can do with all the help you can get! 
Oh yes I offered to Ma’at also.

My path is on and off in terms of prayer, but I would like to establish a regular ritual and prayer routine.
I regularly burn candles at my altar/shrine, whereon I have Heru as the central figure, flanked by Osir and Inpu, Sekhmet and an unknown Egyptian figure, Bast, and some scenes on papyrus. There’s also a kneeling figure making henu.
So I prayed at my altar and burned incense

Kemetic path today:
I’m feeling positive!
I went to my local Pagan Moot online yesterday and met someone who also has a connection with Ancient Egyptian deities. What’s more, he also has a close association with Seshat like myself! We’ll definitely be having more interesting chats.
I’m looking forward to the Moots meeting in person.
I’m interested to see who I meet and what I’ll learn.

Great news! I see a lot of moots now moving back which is great for some. Some are going to maintain a hybrid of physical and online (mainly for talks as its cheaper than trying to book a large room).

I’m wondering why Kemetic faith isn’t more popular in a world where one can find Asatru/Celtic/Hellenismos/Religio Romana/Slavic Pagan stuff easily

A good question. Here are my observations so far:

It requires a lot of research. Some may not be up for that and that is fine. Some may get stuck and don’t know who to ask or find it utterly confusing much of the time. Those cover my experiences numerous times over the years.

The concepts and world view point are quite different to anything that follows it. Much of western magic and/or paganism is based on Greek and later, and even earlier northern stuff is generally similar to them too so little leap of imagination and practice is required.

Because of our differences we tend to shy away from most of the pagan organisations because they are geared towards the bulk of paganism. We may skirt around the outside but will tend to be solitary. Believe me, there are a lot out there, maybe not as many as the rest which is a shame.
Because of the above, and your point, this is the reason for this group. There are a few near eastern groups around, and all of us are doing our best to raise awareness of our presence. With the likes of the PF having 50 years head start for example, we have a lot of catching up to do. There is a strong love of ancient Egypt in western magic, you only have to look at the Golden Dawn and Crowley to see that, and many eclectic witches I know will have made use of some Kemetic aspects.
What we do is more and I really hope this grows over the years.

I hope that by going to the local Moot, I can spread awareness of Kemeticism as well as fulfilling my need to socialise with others in person.
I think it’s good to have KemTem UK for support.

My path is progressing nicely. I’ve decided to take the beginners course at the House of Netjer, just to see what it is like. I’ve noticed that, since applying, my ‘godphone’ has switched back on. Maybe They are making an effort now that I am. Faith is a two way street!

I am right now going through a phase where I’ve opened my mind to different beliefs and I can feel I’m spiritually growing. Which is good, but it may also end.
